This was our 37th Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge since 2011 (we do 3 per year).

Once again, each of our challengers worked incredibly hard to achieve impressive results throughout their 8-week challenge period and our judges really had their work cut out for them to come up with our top winners.

• We had a total of 358 Sleekgeek Challengers submit their final results, losing a total of 1,529.19kgs.
• They lost an average of 4.27kgs or 4.60% of their body weight per person.
• The top 50 Sleekgeek Challengers lost a total of 601.87kgs.
• The top 50 Sleekgeek Challengers lost an average of 12.04kgs or 12.40% of their body weight per person.

These stats include those who deliberately put on weight/muscle to improve their physique and health.

⚖️ Judging process:

A quick reminder that we have 4 categories to ensure fair competition: 1) Men’s transformation, 2) women’s transformation, 3) men’s % weight loss, and 4) women’s % weight loss.

Transformation is judged by our independent panel of judges via an audited voting process.  The Transformation category is determined by who the judges believed had to do the most work to get from ‘Before’ to ‘After.’

% Weight loss is judged purely by percentage of weight lost, based on before and after measurements submitted. We publish modest clothed photos, but weight loss is confirmed by our judges using the challenger’s more revealing before and after photos as well as photos of their weight while standing on the scale.

• NOTE: As per our terms and conditions the “Top 5 % Weight Loss Winners cannot place as a winner if they have gained back more than 50% of the weight they lost in their most recent challenge unless it’s been more than 12 months. (e.g. if someone loses 20kgs, they can’t place as a winner if they have gained back more than 10kgs subsequently)”. This is to help minimise repeat winners and unhealthy weight re-gain between challenges.

Sleekgeek and its staff are not involved in the final decision-making and we accept the judges’ decisions as final.

[BONUS] TEAM CHALLENGE WINNER

As a fun extra, we encourage challengers to form teams with friends, family, and even other Sleekgeeks who they have never met before. Teams range from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 20 members.

How is the winning team judged?

We use a formula that takes into account the following:

• Average weight loss of team members.
• Percentage of team members who finish the challenge
• Bonus points for team members who make it into the “top 10” of the Transformation category.
