Q&A with Willem Lubbe:

We sat down with Willem who placed first in the Men’s Transformation category of our Winter’s 8-Week Challenge 2023. We wanted to find out the secret to his success and he was happy to share it with us.

Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.

Health and fitness was always important to me, but lately it has been difficult to exercise. Playing was keeping me fit, but now I lack discipline in a busy world. The challenge got me back to a disciplined lifestyle.

What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?

I was part of a previous challenge, and it went well. I lost some of the lifestyle routines and I wanted to deepen the new disciplines in my life. It went well this time.

Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.

I only focused on eating according to the healthy suggestions in my personal nutrition plan. I was planning better to stay away from quick fixes when it comes to food.

Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.

I went hard on the roadblocks. And I followed two training apps for my upper body.

If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?

Start well on a Monday,
Don’t waste a Saturday.
Just do something if you feel like doing nothing… keep the momentum.

Why should people enter the challenge?

Feeling healthy is not something you can buy. And lately people can let themselves go and not stay healthy. Eventually it is just too difficult to start again… this challenge gives you a great kickstart back to a healthy lifestyle.
