We sat down with Sean who placed fourth in the Men’s Transformation category of our Winter’s 8-Week Challenge 2023. We wanted to find out the secret to his success and he was happy to share it with us.
Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.
Before joining the Sleekgeek challenge I was truly unmotivated to train or try maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Being part of the Sleekgeek challenge helped me push boundaries. I had my wife and friends pushing me to be my best. Thank you Sleekgeek and a special thanks to my amazing wife Natasha Armstrong and all my gym buddies.
What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?
My wife Natasha Armstrong won a free entry on Facebook.
Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.
I cut out sugars and starches. With small more constant portions. Upped my water intake considerably.
Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.
I follow a 5-day gym routine. Monday – chest and triceps, Tuesday- back and biceps, Wednesday- legs and cardio, Thursday- shoulders and abs, Friday- freaky Friday meaning full body with cardio.
Rest on the weekend.
If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?
Be consistent with training, use smaller plates for smaller portions when eating, drink black coffee twice a day if you can.
Why should people enter the challenge?
It’s definitely good motivation . The team or WhatsApp group is definitely amazing support on your journey.
