Q&A with Elzabe Schilling:

We sat down with Elzabe who placed fifth in the Women’s Weight Loss category of our Winter’s 8-Week Challenge 2023. We wanted to find out the secret to her success and she was happy to share it with us.


Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.

I did not do the Sleekgeek New Year challenge and was getting back to my old habits of bad eating and not following a healthy lifestyle. I had no motivation to keep me on the right track.

What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?

I want to reach my goal weight of 77 kg before the end of 2023 and know I can only do that by competing in the challenge.

Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.

I cut out carbs and sugar and ate more fruit, vegetables and lean meat. No alcohol or cooldrinks in the 8 weeks. Only one cheat meal a week. Eating clean makes all the difference.

Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.

I concentrated on moving more especially at work to reach my goal of 5000 or more daily steps.
My goal was to lose weight in this challenge and work on my fitness in the next challenge.

If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?

Never give up.
Don’t do a crash/quick fix diet. Make a lifestyle change.
Join a team for support.
