We sat down with Sheree who placed first in the Women’s Weight loss category of our New Year 2023 Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge. We wanted to find out the secret to her success and she was happy to share it with us.
Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.
I was very unhealthy and overweight. I wasn’t sure what to eat or what to do in the gym.
What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?
I wanted to get fit, get control of my weight and of my body.
Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.
I used Intermittent Fasting or OMAD (One meal a day.) I ate healthily and tried to cut out sugar as far as possible.
Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.
I have a home gym; my sister and I train together. I did a lot of weight training and incorporated some cardio.
If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?
You are your biggest enemy. You are your biggest obstacle. You need to change your mind and just do it.
Why should people enter the challenge?
This 8-Week Challenge changes your mindset and way you look at food and nutrition. It encourages you to be more active and live a better and healthier life.
