We sat down with Enslin who placed fifth in the Men’s Weight loss category of our Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge. We wanted to find out the secret to his success and he was happy to share it with us.
Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.
I had no motivation to become a better version of myself. I also couldn’t stick to a healthier diet or workout routine.
What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?
It’s my second time joining the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge and the results are amazing. The support system from the coaches and information from the Facebook platform is also very helpful and informative.
Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.
I mostly did fasting. Started with the 18/6 fasting and changed it every 2 weeks. I replaced my cravings with smoothies and had a balanced diet within my eating period.
Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.
I absolutely love running, so I ran 80% of the time. From 5km to 10km distances depending on the day. I also did some stomach workouts on days I was unable to run.
If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?
Make your workout routine fun and challenging at times.
