Q&A with Casandra Viljoen:

We sat down with Casandra who placed second in the Women’s Transformation category of our Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge. We wanted to find out the secret to her success and she was happy to share it with us.

Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.

I struggled for years to lose weight and was ready to give up trying.

What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?

I wanted to compete against other people, because I am competitive and hoped it would help me stay motivated.

Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.

I ate high protein and reduced processed carbs.

Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.

I did HIIT workouts twice a week, focused on getting my steps up and doing as many roadblocks as possible (with correct form and doing advanced options).

If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?

Just commit!
The results you get are in proportion to commitment and consistency.

Why should people enter the challenge?

If you are willing to put in the effort, then I recommend doing the challenge… and join a team.
The support and motivation from being in a team helps when you just don’t feel like it anymore.
