Q & A: Rahldeyah Esack – 1st in Women’s Weight Loss

Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.

I have been on the weight loss journey for a very long time. I have always been overweight and fall off the wagon constantly but not ready to give up on myself just yet.

What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?

It keeps me focused and normally pulls me out of the rut and back on track. It helps me a lot on my journey. I have learned a lot about myself and I am just not ready to give up on myself.

Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.

LCHF coupled with OMAD mostly or 20:4 works best for me. 3 to 4l water daily.

Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.

Unfortunately, am still very uncomfortable but push myself to the limits with the weekly team challenges and roadblocks. And just try my best to move as much as I can.

If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?

1. Start now, because the right time is never going to come.
2. Don’t underestimate the power of a proper mindset. I fail in between challenges and have very recently discovered that if I don’t deal with the reasons/causes I self-destruct, I will never be successful and I will never achieve my health and fitness goals.
3. No matter how busy life is… Self-love and self-care should be your main priority because if you don’t take care of yourself, u will not be able to care for others for much longer. Health is wealth after all.
