Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.

Very active, but my diet is one nightmare for any dietitian. I was very unfocused and all over the place with little structure.

What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?

I have been part of the gang for many years, more than 5 or 6. Can’t remember where or how I started.

Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.

The only thing I completely cut out was sugar. I ate 3 meals not consisting of sweets or chocolates. Hate drinking water but made sure to have at least 3L a day, most days.

Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.

Same as always:
2 days a week in the gym with the Biokineticist
4-5 days of netball training and match days
Loads of roadblocks
Tried to go walk or run on our mountain as much as I could.

If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?

  1. This is just the start, not your life’s highlight
  2. No one is perfect, and neither should your diet and exercise plan be, just keep showing up
  3. You are amazing, now go kick some butt and show the world what a rockstar you are

Why should people enter the challenge?

Why not? You already considering it, how about just doing it, that will be your first win. Prove me wrong!
