Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.
Before the challenge, I found myself in a deep and dark place of depression. Exercising has been extremely difficult over the past 2 years and I had to make a decision to live, it’s not easy to wake up in the mornings when a person is in a bad space. I ran comrades marathon in 2019, but sadly as covid hit, I lost the will to train or live. However, I knew that a healthy lifestyle was my only option to snap out of the depression.
What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?
The support I needed and to be accountable to someone else and not just myself, I needed that.
Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.
Healthier choices, healthier cooking methods, I was just conscious of what I put into my mouth.

I didn’t follow an exact plan, my goal was to start running again. The consistency of waking up at 4 am and increasing my mileage really worked for me, and the roadblocks set by Sleekgeek.
If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?
Be consistent and persevere..
