Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.

My fintess journey started around 6 to 7 years back at 149.7kg. I could not find clothes that fit me and I also struggled with blood circulation that cut off when lying in bed. So I took the last money I had for the month joined Virgin Active and from there on I have never looked back. I am now wearing Medium or Large shirts where I used to wear 4 to 5 XL.

What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?

Saw the add on Facebook and lacked a bit of motivation past 2 years and thought that this will give me motivation to keep going.

Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.

Tried to eat as clean as I could. It was difficult on weekends and some days during week as I did not always have time to prepare food.

I used whey protein to keep protein intake high.

Lunch and dinner was chicken breast with sweet patato.

Breakfast was oats and whey protein.

Money is against me to try and eat as healthy as possible so opted for the cheapest option.

Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.

Training was Monday to Friday

Mon : Chest and Triceps
Tuesday : Back and Biceps
Wednesday : Legs
Thurday : Shoulders & Biceps
Friday : Chest & Triceps

Kept it light weight with high reps.

If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?

  1. Include light weight training.
  2. Eat 1.6gram per KG body weight.
  3. Get your mind over your mody.
