Please give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.
I was very fit and healthy at school and as a young adult. Loved all sports at university and then running once I started working and couldn’t join team sports as easily. Having 4 kids in 5 years changed my life and my body hugely, and I have struggled to regain core strength and battled with back pain since then. I discovered Sleekgeek in 2016 and did a couple of challenges and was maintaining at my goal weight for a few months before finding out I was pregnant with my 4th child. Big surprise! I again worked my way back with some Sleekgeek challenges, and was maintaining when lockdown hit. Slowly finding my way back again!
What prompted you to join the Sleekgeek Transformation Challenge?
I know the power of team work, consistency and accountability from previous Sleekgeek challenges.

I stick quite closely to unprocessed food as much as possible.

I was walking frequently until our house had covid, and then the KZN unrest happened, rocking my world.
If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?
- Join a team
- Jump in wholeheartedly – this is the start of your new life
