I have lost a total of 57kg so far.

I am a business owner I have properties that I rent out.

All the motivation and positivity and love to see the transformations.

YOUR TRANSFORMATION

Describe the “old you” before you made your transformation. How did you get there and what were you like?

I was not active and I was very depressed. I was always not feeling well and was moody all of the time.

What ignited your initial motivation to change?

I looked at myself in the mirror one morning and I just told myself I can’t go on like this. I want to be happy and healthy.

What are some of the things that the new you does differently now?

I smile a lot and I am not depressed, anymore. I try to stay away from eating sugar and I eat healthily.

What are some of the things that the new you still struggles with?

Getting used to not being overweight anymore and I still struggle with exercise and all the loose skin.

If you could give yourself 1 piece of advice to help with that struggle, what would it be?

Just stay positive and keep on going. A little progress is better than no progress.

Did you plateau, get stuck, or get disillusioned, or even slide backwards a bit on your journey?

Yes, I did but I just kept on going.

What is better since you got healthy?

I stopped all my blood pressure and depression medicine. And my sugar stabilized I don’t have to take any medication for that anymore.

TRAINING

What’s your favourite form of exercise? [Running, yoga, weightlifting, etc]

I have not started to exercise yet because when I was so heavy I could not even walk for 10 steps without feeling sick and out of breath. And I was in a very bad car accident in 2018 and was bedridden for a year so I could not be active at all.

How long have you been training and how did you get started?

I want to start training as soon as possible.

How does exercise make you feel?

Being more active now makes me feel better and gives me hope.

Do you prefer to train alone or with others? Why?

I will be starting to gym with a personal trainer because I need someone to help me, as I will be new to exercising.

Your next training goal?

Is to start training, do it well and lose the extra weight and tighten the excess skin.

NUTRITION

What’s your favourite meal?

I will have to say that it will be Greek salad and steak.

OK, now what’s your favourite healthy meal?

Definitely salad and steak without the fat on it.

Feta cheese

Favourite carbohydrate?

Pasta

What’s your nutrition philosophy / approach? [If you have one]

I eat as healthy as I can and try to stay away from consuming sugar.

How many meals a day do you eat?

I only eat 2 times a day and a very small portion.

Do you have a cheat meal / treat strategy?

Yes, if I cheat it will be with a bit of pasta or some sugar in my tea.

MINDSET

Most memorable personal best achievement to date. Something you maybe never imagined you could do?

Is to go from a size 26 to size 14.

Favorite quote?

Little progress is better than no progress at all.

What inspires and motivates you?

My family motivates me every day to do better than yesterday. And Sleekgreek inspires me.

For what are you most grateful?

For having a wonderful support system.

What do you want to say to other community members who might be nervous or hesitant to make a start?

Just do it! Just think how much progress you can make in a month from now. It’s not going to be easy but it’s going to be worth it in the end.

What are your top 5 tips for anyone starting on a healthy journey?

  1. Keep photos to motivate you on your journey
  2. Start that day don’t wait for Monday
  3. Start exercising as soon as possible
  4. And it’s okay to not get it right every day just don’t give up
  5. Try and experiment with new foods and make them healthy
