YOUR TRANSFORMATION

Describe the “old you” before you made your transformation. How did you get there and what were you like?
I was always feeling bloated and didn’t love my body now I’m actually falling in love with it and feel more comfortable.

What ignited your initial motivation to change?
I wanted to change for the better, start living healthier.

What are some of the things that the new you does differently now?
I would walk around feeling proud of what I have achieved so far.

What are some of the things that the new you still struggles with?
I’m struggling to maintain my carbs but trying my best.

If you could give yourself 1 piece of advice to help with that struggle, what would it be?
Never give up keep your head up.

Did you plateau, get stuck, or get disillusioned, or even slide backwards a bit on your journey?
Not at all, I think my mind was set on what I wanted.

What is better since you got healthy?
I love the compliments from people around me.

TRAINING

What’s your favourite form of exercise?
Running.

How long have you been training and how did you get started?
I started with park runs and it will almost be a year.

What does your typical workout look like?
Starting with stretches then running.

Favorite exercise?
I absolutely love plank and burpees.

Least favorite exercise?
Push-ups I’m struggling a lot with it.

How does exercise make you?
Happy and confident.

Do you prefer to train alone or with others? Why?
I love to train alone as I love music so I always but my earphones in my ears and train on the beat.

Most embarrassing training moment?
I was running and almost tripped myself.

Top 3 things you must have at the gym or in your gym bag?
Water bottle, sweat cloth, and comfy gym clothes.

Your next training goal?
To be able to lift myself up and get better at push-ups

Top 5 songs on your training Playlist?
I have a list of shuffle music that has some beat.

How has exercise/training/Sport Changed your life?
I have become a better person not only for me but also for my family my son of 4 is also into stretching and training with me so that makes me very proud.

NUTRITION

What’s your favourite meal?
Oats mixed with whey protein

OK, now what’s your favourite healthy meal?
Tuna salad or green salad with chicken breast.

Favourite protein?
I absolutely love my protein shakes.

Favourite fat?
I love to take a spoon of peanut butter.

Favourite carbohydrate?
Fruit.

What’s your nutrition philosophy / approach?
Don’t have one.

How many meals a day do you eat?
I try to get at least 4 meals in but struggle as I’m not a big eater so I mix it up with fruit in between.

Do you have a cheat meal / treat strategy?
No I don’t.

MINDSET

Most memorable personal best achievement to date. Something you maybe never imagined you could do?
I can do planks over 1 minute where I couldn’t do it before.

Favorite quote?
Focus on your body and mind.

Favourite book?
Don’t have one.

What inspires and motivates you?
To see how far I can push myself.

For what are you most grateful?
For achieving my goal so far.

What do you want to say to other community members who might be nervous or hesitant to make a start?
All I can say is don’t quit the results will always show you are unique and everybody has the ability to strive forward.

What are your top 5 tips for anyone starting on a healthy journey?

  1. Try and maintain a healthy eating plan its difficult at first but as soon as your start you won’t miss the other food.
  2. Always try and balance your lifestyle with your work and fit it in on a plan.
  3. Never give up keep your head up.
  4. Focus on your body and mind.
  5. Feel proud of what you have achieved so far.
