Movement is a gift and a blessing.
I didn’t always know this truth. For most of my adult life, I was sedentary and didn’t understand how much pleasure and benefit being active brings. I had no clue what I was missing until I experienced it for myself.
I now understand the delight of reaching the top of a mountain. The elation in lifting heavier weights. The accomplishment of running further or faster. The relaxation of a long daily stroll along the promenade. The camaraderie of working out with friends.
Humans are made to move.
If you are able I am urging you to explore moving more. Start small and build from there. Walk your first few thousand steps a day if you are an absolute beginner.
Exercise may not be fun in the beginning BUT I promise you that the fitter you get the more joy it brings. The only way to progress is to invest your time and energy consistently.
Get moving because I guarantee you that it will be worth it and your life will be better.
There are many people out there that wish they could.
