[Recipe] Blissful Berry Smoothie

A delicious healthy recipe by Lifestyle Chef Izelle Hoffman.

Carefully designed to fit in with the Sleekgeek Food ListHealthy Meal Template, and  Portion Control Guide.

Details

  • Recommended for: Replacing any meal, but super convenient for a quick and healthy breakfast.
  • Prep time: 5 mins

Recipe notes:

  • If you aren’t so sure about using egg whites, you could always experiment with a vanilla, strawberry, or unflavoured protein powder instead.

Ingredients

  • Protein (1 palm)
    • 90ml liquid egg whites or 3 egg whites
  • Colourful Veg (1 fist)
    • 20g finely grated beetroot
  • Smart Carb (1 cupped hand)
    • 1 handful of blueberries, and or strawberries and or black cherries
      (If you use cherries, remember to remove the pips)
  • Healthy Fat (1 thumb)
    • 1 tsp unsweetened almond butter
      100ml unsweetened almond milk
  • Herbs, spices, Extras
    • Pinch of salt
    • 1 tsp Raw Honey (optional)
    • 1 tsp caramel essence
    • 1 cup of ice

Ingredients are based off the Sleekgeek Food List, combined together using the Sleekgeek Healthy Meal Template, and portioned out with the Sleekgeek Portion Control Guide.

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to the blender.
  • Blend till smooth.
