Q&A: Isabella Potgieter

Here’s a quick Q&A with Isabella Potgieter who came 4th in Women’s Transformation in Sleekgeek’s latest ULTIMATE YOU 8-Week Transformation Challenge (sign up for the new challenge now at www.ultimateyou.co.za)!

QUESTION 1: Give us a short history of your journey to health and fitness before the challenge.

A: I wasn’t motivated to start my journey and needed help, I saw the Sleekgeek Ultimate Challenge online and thought a challenge is exactly what I needed.

QUESTION 2: What prompted you to join the ULTIMATE YOU Transformation Challenge?

A: I wanted a healthy lifestyle and what better way to motivate you than standing a chance to win awesome prizes while getting healthy.

QUESTION 3: Give us a quick overview of the nutrition and eating plan that you followed during the challenge.

A: I have cut down on processed and junk food, started being more cautious of what I eat.  I included a lot of fresh foods and I drink a lot of water.

QUESTION 4: Give us a quick overview of the training and exercise plan that you followed during the challenge.

A: I made sure to exercise at least 3 times a week, even if it’s just a 20 min jog.  Main thing is to try and keep active.

QUESTION 5: Did you use any supplements or do anything else worth mentioning to help you get results?

A: No, I didn’t use any supplements, but I do feel it’s important to take a multivitamin.

QUESTION 6: If you could give 3 pieces of advice to future challengers, what would they be?

A: (1.) It’s not always easy, but you need to keep on believing in yourself. (2.) Make sure to drink a lot of water, especially when cravings start to kick in. (3.) Never compare yourself to others, everybody is different. Find what works for you 🙂

QUESTION 7: What did you find most valuable about your experience?

A: Achieving a lot in 8 weeks, knowing if you can set your mind to something you can accomplish it!  It’s not an easy journey breaking bad habits and creating healthy new ones but it’s possible and completely worth it!
