Step Challenge Day 14

Yesterday I spoke about embracing the grind when the journey starts to become a bit boring.

Another great way to breathe some excitement and motivation into your challenge is to grab a buddy to share this journey with.

You could either:

  1. Add a friend on the HabitShare app for accountability.
  2. Create a group chat with 2-3 other friends to check in with each other.
  3. Organise an actual meet-up to walk and talk with a friend.

You Are Who You Have Coffee With:

At Sleekgeek, one of our Sleekgeek Beliefs is that “You are who you have coffee with“.

The people who you surround yourself with shape your life, for better or for worse.

You obviously can’t pick and choose every person in your life, but this is where the BELIEF part comes into play.

  • ❌ If you believe that your friends and social circle don’t matter, you’ll spend a lot more time around unproductive, unmotivated, and even toxic people who make your life worse and hold you back. Or you might even not make an effort to have any friends at all.
  • ✅ If you believe that your friends and social circle matters critically, you’ll make an effort to seek out like-minded, motivated, and successful people who will raise you up with them.

With the right belief about your social circle, you’ll end up with more positive and less negative people in your life which will make the process of being successful and building healthy habits sooooooo much easier!

So grab a buddy or two and get them involved in your health and fitness journey. Make that circle bigger and build your support network.
