Step Challenge Day 12

🕛 Estimated Read Time: 1 minute and 22 seconds.

It’s been great to see so many Sleekgeeks diligently tracking their step challenge progress.

Being able to tick off those steps and seeing that consistency build up is a beautiful thing.

I hope you’ve found habit tracking helpful in tracking your new habit of walking more.

If you want to take things a step further, we can highly recommend the free habit tracking app called HabitShare.

It’s an incredibly simple app, and yet SO powerful.

With the right habits loaded on, timely reminders set up, and a few friends added for some accountability – this app can make you an unstoppable habit-building machine.

Add a New Habit:

Today, I encourage you to download the app if you don’t already have it and add just one habit (other than steps) to your tracking routine.

Or, if you don’t want to use the app, consider just adding a new habit to your 21-Day Step Challenge Tracker sheet.

This is a great opportunity to complement your walking habit with another healthy behaviour that can amplify your results and enhance your overall well-being.

Sure, it could be another movement-based habit, but it could also be something to do with nutrition, or sleep, or stress management.

(Pro Tip: You can even use HabitShare to track non-health related habits such as watering your plants, walking the dog, reaching out to friends/family members, giving your spouse a kiss, etc).

Some top suggestions are:

  • Drink water
  • Remember supplements/medications
  • Morning routine
  • Bedtime/sleep ritual
  • Mindful eating
  • Meditation or breathing exercises
  • Protein/vegetable intake
  • No/less alcohol
  • No/less caffeine

Why Add Another Habit?

Combining habits can create a synergy that boosts the benefits of each. For example, adding a hydration goal can improve your energy levels and make your walks feel easier.

By tracking a second habit, you’ll also be taking a more holistic approach to your health, which can lead to more sustainable lifestyle changes.

Finally, adding variety to your routine can keep your motivation high and prevent boredom.

Whichever habit you choose, remember to start small, prove that consistency, and then scale up when ready.

Let’s make the most of this challenge by layering our habits for maximum impact. I’m excited to see how much further we can go with just one more healthy habit in our arsenal!

Keep stepping and keep thriving!
