? Welcome to Day 52 of the Challenger’s Journey!
Each day for 8 weeks we’re going to help you think, eat, move, or sleep better.
- ? Each week we will be focusing on 1 of the 4 pillars at a time.
- ? Each day we will challenge you to take action with a daily mission that you need to complete.
Here’s a quick snapshot of what Week 8 looks like:

Today’s ? Mission:
This is what you need to do in order to successfully complete today’s challenge mission.
- ✅ Get at least 10-15 minutes of exposure to natural sunlight outside. The earlier in the day that you can do this, the better.
- ? [OPTIONAL] Share with us in the Sleekgeek Facebook Group how and when you’re planning to sneak some sunlight in.
- ? Complete the form at the bottom of the page when done.

More ? Info:
As you’ll know by now, the human body is designed to get sleepy when it’s dark and to be alert and awake when it’s light.
In some of the past missions, we’ve talked about how important it is to avoid and block out light at night in order to get a better night’s sleep.
But another way that you can improve your sleep is to do the opposite during the day.

More specifically, getting some exposure to sunlight during the day can help to correctly set your body’s internal sleep-wake circadian rhythm clock.
The sun exposure, especially in the morning, stops melatonin production and lets your body know that it’s day time. It will then be able to better sync up with nighttime when the time comes later in the day.
This can increase wakefulness during the day and then helps your body get more sleepy again at night when it’s appropriate to be tired.
Ideally, you should try and get as much light exposure as you can throughout the day (within reason and without getting sunburned) because the more natural light you can get during your normal waking hours, the more your body will know to shut down when it starts to get darker again.
Even if it’s cloudy or overcast, every little bit helps (especially in winter time when the days are shorter and darker).
