“Nourishing yourself in a way that helps you blossom in the direction you want to go is attainable, and you are worth the effort.”
Deborah Day

? Hello and welcome to Day 7 of the 21-Day Self-Care Challenge.
? Each day for 21 days we give you an action to complete that will help you to take care of yourself so that you can better take care of the other aspects of your life effectively.
Each of our tasks focuses on either physical, mental or emotional self-care.
You can either follow the tasks as specified or individualize them.
We suggest scheduling off some self-care time in your diary each night so that you keep your meeting with yourself.
Day 7
Today we are going to focus on mental self-care.
✅ Take a nap.
✅ Did you manage to fit in a nap? Share with us in our Self-care Challenge Community Group on Facebook.
Sweet dreams
Today we would like you to squeeze in a nap. If you can aim for 20 – 30 mins.
According to the National Sleep Foundation, a short nap of 20-30 minutes can help to improve mood, alertness and performance.
This type of nap provides significant benefit for improved alertness and performance without leaving you feeling groggy or interfering with nighttime sleep.
Napping also has psychological benefits. A nap can be a pleasant luxury like a mini-vacation. It can provide an easy way to get some relaxation and rejuvenation.
Please be aware though that napping can also have a negative effect on other sleeping periods. A long nap or a nap taken too late in the day may adversely affect the length and quality of nighttime sleep.
Aim to nap mid-day instead of later in the day.
Confirm completion of today’s task by marking it off in the form below.
