Congratulations on registering for the Sleekgeeks supporting adidas Run for the Oceans!
You’re now be eligible to stand a chance of winning 1 of 3 pairs of adidas Parley ULTRABOOST running shoes made from recycled materials.
From 28 May to 8 June, for every km that you run, jog, walk or wheelchair adidas and Parley’s global cleanup network will remove the equivalent weight of 10 plastic bottles (up to 500,000 pounds) from beaches, islands and coastal communities.
Here’s what happens next:
Step 1:
Download the free adidas Running App for iOS or Android.
This is required in order to log your contributions to the challenge.
- Click on the Community Tab.
- Join the Run for the Oceans Challenge
- Track every km you run between 28 May – 8 June
Step 2:
Join the Sleekgeek Community Leaderboard on the adidas Running App so that we can track how the community is doing over the Challenge.

Step 3 (optional):
Join the Sleekgeek Running Group on Facebook.
This is where most of us will be posting our movements, sharing our progress, and cheering each other on. Come be a part of the community!
Step 4:
Log your runs and walks.
Every time you go for a run:
- Open up the adidas Running App.
- Click on the “Activity” tab .
- Click “Start Running” to log your run. (Even if you are walking)
- Optional: Once done, you’ll be able to share the stats for your run (and even add a selfie). We’d love to see it in the Sleekgeek Running Group on Facebook.
Please note that if you are walker you MUST STILL record your activity in the app as a run for it to count.
Step 5:
Track your progress on the leaderboard:
Once you’ve joined the Sleekgeek Community on the adidas Running App, you’ll be able to view the leaderboard and see how the community is doing with our mileage.
- Open up the adidas Running App.
- Click on the “Community” tab.
- Select “Sleekgeek” from the list of groups and communities.
- Click on “View Leaderboard”.
Make sure that you’re viewing the leaderboard of “This month” (click on the funnel icon in the top right of the screen to adjust the time frame).
How to win!
At the end of the Challenge we will select a winner who moved at least 20kms in the 10 days. That is a very attainable average of 2kms per day or 4 x 5kms! You can do it!
