💡 More Info:
Whenever you’re trying to change something – whether it’s your mindset, your health, your fitness, or just about anything else, you’re either running away from the “darkness” or running toward the “light”.

You’re either moving away from something negative, or moving toward something positive.
Most people start their health and fitness journey thinking about the negative stuff:
- They’re tired of emotional eating.
- They’re unhappy with their weight.
- They’re miserable at their lack of self-confidence.
- They hate feeling tired and lethargic all the time.
- They’re terrified about their poor level of health.
If you can identify with one of those examples, maybe you’ll be able to recognise the dread, shame, guilt, or frustration that’s associated with it. The dark unpleasant feelings that creep up on you whenever you think about it.
It’s pretty heavy stuff!
Now in order to change and make progress, one really has to dig into those reasons for change. It can be rather uncomfortable and unsustainable if you’re only thinking about the negative all the time.
For most people, they can’t do this for too long and end up giving up in order to protect themselves from those feelings. It’s just too negative and unpleasant.
Your 🌞 Bright Future
What if you ran towards the light instead? What if you focused more on the positive?
We’re not talking about being an optimist or ignoring your problems.
We’re talking about which reason for change are you focusing on. All of the bad stuff that you’re running away from or all of the good stuff that you’re running towards?

Building a “bright future” for yourself should bring you joy to think about rather than pain.
This is a lot like creating that vision of “Future You”, but it’s less about ultimately who you want to become and more about focusing on good reasons to change rather than negative ones.
Think about it for a second, how might you feel when:
- You’re no longer struggling with emotional eating?
- You’re happy with your weight?
- You’re feeling confident, sexy, and self-loved?
- You’re energetic and youthful?
- You’re at peace of mind that your health is good and well?
Sure, you might still have to address things like emotional eating, weight, confidence, energy, and health, but you’ll be doing it for all of the right reasons.
