Today I am grateful for many things.. One of them is that you right there are giving me your precious time to listen to this message.
Each and every day I try and focus on what I am grateful for.
Those can be tiny and superficial – like a cup of hot coffee – or things of massive and deep such as a special relationship – like the one I had with my father.
It does not matter. It all counts. From the banal to the significant.
I add it ALL to my gratitude scorecard.
Before my journey to health I used to think that concepts such as gratitude was WHOOOHOO reserved for people who did yoga (no offence intended) – but I was so wrong. Now I want to share that with you.
This year I have experienced much loss, pain and suffering in my personal life.
It has been challenging and there have been many times I felt hopeless and in despair.
But, my most powerful tool through it all was to focus hard on what I had and not on what I did not have.
I write it down. I say it in mantras… I constantly count my blessings and repeat them to myself.
There is no better state of mind to set you up for a great day! One of my fave gurus Tony Robbins argues you cannot be angry or in pain when you are in a true state of gratitude – I have tested it and it is true.
Life is a struggle for everyone – even though it may not look like it. Everyone is fighting some kind of battle no matter how perfect their life looks.
At the same time no matter how bad things are there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for.
It is worth it.
Here are 7 PROVEN BENEFITS OF GRATITUDE:
Improved physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Greater optimism and happiness.
Improved feelings of connection in times of loss or crises.
Heightened energy levels.
Strengthened heart, immune system, and decreased blood pressure.

With every moment in life YOU get to chose your experience. You get to see something as an opportunity or a punishment, a failure or a lesson.
How awesome is that!
We live in our heads and so if we can flip the script you truly can live a new and positive life. You are not your thoughts my friends.
Be ruthless about finding the good in EVERYTHING.
Positive people attract goodness into their lives and that is a fact. Your vibe attracts your tribe!
Become someone who thanks others all the time and makes the people in your life feel appreciated and valued.
If you find yourself thinking and saying THANK YOU a lot you are on the right track.
Be fearlessly grateful and expect nothing in return.
In fact… We will always be wanting for more and as humans we tend to give much greater power to the things we lack and downplay what we possess.
It’s like when you receive a bunch of compliments you brush them off but if one person criticizes you it’s virtually impossible not to fixate on it. We allow the one negative opinion all the power which is totally disproportionate and simply not reality.
If one person rejects you does that mean you have no value to the world? Not at all though it may feel that way.
My late mother bless her soul could only ever focus on the negative in a situation.
She was constantly dissatisfied. It made me so sad to observe. There was nothing I could say or do to change her mind at that stage. I did not have the tools.
I do not want that for me and I do not want that for you.
