Are there categories?

Yes, there are 4 categories in the Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge in order to ensure fair competition.

1) Female Weight Loss

2) Female Transformation

3) Male Weight Loss

4) Male Transformation

Weight Loss is judged on percentage of body weight lost during the challenge while Transformation is judged on the visual difference of improvement between before and after photos.

All challengers must submit both photos and measurements for judging as well as for their own progress tracking.

Do I get a nutrition plan?

While entirely optional (you can use your own plan) we do have a wide range of expertly designed plans to help you get great results.

Whether you like Paleo, Banting, Vegetarian, or something more “Traditional”, we’re got you covered with a variety of customisable nutrition plans from our Registered Dietitian.

Includes delicious recipes, shopping lists, portion sizes, tips, tricks, and meal plans.

Do I get an exercise plan?

While entirely optional (you can use your own plan) we do have a wide range of expertly designed plans to help you get great results.

Our Sports Scientist has developed training plans for everyone from absolute beginners, intermediates, or advanced that focus on what really works to help you burn fat, build muscle, and look great.

Use the equipment at a gym or nothing at all in the comfort of your own home. Basic running, swimming, and cycling plans available too.

Do I need a gym membership?

Nope! You don’t need a gym membership or access to a gym in order to do the challenge. We have exercise plans that you can do from the comfort of your own home with no equipment.

Is it all online?

Yes! The Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge is a fully online challenge that you can do from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Do I need to submit progress photos and measurements?

Yes AND no.

Yes if: You’d like to stand a chance to win prizes then you’ll need to submit before/after photos and measurements.

No if: You’d just like to enter the challenge for your own personal progress and to get access to the Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge plans and resources without the need to win any prizes.

Can I sign up now, but start at a later stage?

Yes! We have several different start dates, called Heats, to choose from. If you wish, you can sign up for the challenge as soon as entries are open and then only start your challenge in one of the later heats.

Can I enter the Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge from outside of South Africa?

Yes! We have many South African expats as well as Sleekgeek members in other countries who take part in the Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge.

HOWEVER, we only pay 1st place cash winnings into a South African bank account or a PayPal account and prizes or vouchers will only be delivered within South Africa. If you’d like, a friend or family member within South Africa can receive your challenge prize(s) on your behalf.

Can I pay via EFT if I don't have a credit card?

Yes! Our payment system can accept EFT payments from most SA banks. After payment, you’ll simply need to send us proof of payment to help@sleekgeek.co.za and we’ll give you your entry into the Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge.
