“I decided to enter the Winter Challenge because after the previous challenge I realized it is the 8 week challenge that is keeping me on track, with out it I probably would’ve slipped back to my bad old ways.

This time around I have sort of made up my own rules for eating which consist of 90% paleo with a few Banting techniques involved so I do add a little bit of dairy in the form of butter and occasionally cheese but I tend to stick mainly to Paleo rules. I find the extra fats give me the energy my body requires especially when working out.

I don’t own a gym contract so my exercises are made up of things I can do at home like running, squats, sit ups and a few weights at home. For where I am at in life that is enough right now. I am to keep stepping it up as I get the opportunity and strength.

I would definitely encourage as many people as possible to do at least one challenge but if you are someone without much willpower like me then try to work the cost of the 3 challenge a year into your fitness budget, if you work it out over the 12 months it’s R125 per month and if that is what keeps you on track to better health I say it is absolutely worth it, plus there’s always the bonus opportunity to win R10k cash in which case SG is paying you to get healthy!

I am a huge fan of Sleekgeek, this is the first time in my life where I really have taken the lead in regard to my health.
